General Responsibilities:
Maintain day-to-day operations and assume responsibility for maintaining the Organization’s fully integrated, Physical Protection and Fire Systems under the direction of the Security Management Team.
Essential Job Functions:
- Provide PLC programming on Onguard such as card readers, alarms, badges, etc.
- Responsible for programming Avigilon software as it relates to alarms, cameras, etc., for all campuses/sites in the organization.
- Knowledge and ability to ping and assign IP address to devices relative to Security.
- Responsible for the completion of all maintenance service requests as assigned.
- Programming and servicing camera encoders.
- Work within expense limits established and maintain inventory controls for cost effective operations.
- Assist in monitoring all work being performed by outside contractors regarding Security.
- Monitor and maintain all building and facilities physical security systems as assigned.
- Responsible for alerting the Security Management team of any unusual occurrence and/or damage that have taken place or that may occur.
- Maintain a professional courteous manner with all vendors, contractors, and fellow
- employees.
- Assure safety standards are used which comply with all company, local, City, State and Federal Guidelines.
- Ensure compliance of all work-related activities are fair, ethical, and performed in a consistent manner.
- Perform special projects and other responsibilities as may be determined. Coordinate and oversee special projects as directed by the Security Manager and or/Security Superintendent.
- Configure and maintain access control systems and develop testing protocols.
- Configure and maintain gate access control logic; must have the ability to read and decipher ladder logic.
- Maintain uninterruptable power supplies.
- Design and install electrical “ladder logic sequence” for fully integrated and safe entrance systems. Program and maintain programmable logic controllers. Maintain barricades and gate actuators by performing tests and servicing periodically.
- Maintain and service security servers and workstations as needed. Provide service on the following: Arecont Vision cameras, Firelite Fire Alarm panels, Ademco Alarm panels.
- Configure, test, and maintain video software on a regular basis. Schedule and complete the "Preventative Maintenance Program".
- Assist Security’s Management Team with internal investigations as required.
- Perform tests and quality checks using specialized instruments to maintain the security fencing and software. Preventative Maintenance
- Provide ongoing end user training to security console operators on video software usage and best practices.
- Maintain awareness of current trends in the physical security realm and provide recommendations for the leadership team to consider that aligns with the security strategy.
- Reports and documents deficiencies in physical security systems and integrated security systems.
- Ability to work while on a ladder, bucket truck and/or in a confined space.
- On Call 24/7 and expected to work extended hours in support of the safety of the business.
- Perform all work safely in accordance with established safety policies and procedures. Comply with all safety and health standards and guidelines issued by management.
- Ability and knowledge to manage the Fire Control panels, extinguishers and suppression systems enterprise wide.
- Ability to schedule and manage inspections of all fire life safety systems enterprise wide.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Education:
Associate’s degree in electrical or equivalent; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certifications
Experience:
Five (5) years of physical security and integrated security systems required. Avigilon software and Onguard software experience required, knowledge of ladder logic and control systems required and Command Centre software experience required

Ability to stand, walk or sit for extended periods of time
Ability to lift 50 pounds.
